Fit4Life Friday...Week 7

Week 7 has not been nearly as interesting around here as week 6 proved to be, No police were involved in any of my excersise sessions this week! I have actually opted to walk on the treadmill (which I loathe!) or ride my excersise bike indoors most days this week just because of the terrible heat! I feel a bit guilty forcing my toddler to bake in the stroller for an hour while his mom goes for her walk! We are going to give it a try outside this morning though, maybe it won't get too hot!

This week I lost 4.2 pounds for a 7 week total of 29.3 pounds!

WOOOHOOO!!

I have to confess, I did make a run to Wing Stop this last weekend,...and I must say, It was worth every.single.calorie! I actually think I probably worked harder this week just knowing I'd had such a splurge on the weekend!

I'm still eating tons of tomatoes,..I hope they keep coming in for a while yet! I am still walking/biking on most days and strength training 2-3 times per week. We also walk a lot of evenings just for the simple fact that Carter gets pretty fussy around 7ish but it's too early for bed, so we go out in the stroller for a look at the cows and tractors.

In the coming week I want to:

Continue to focus on my quiet time. I can tell such a difference when I spend time with God first thing in the morning.

Keep up with the walks and increase my speed and distance.

I hope everyone has had a great week! I can't wait to read about your progress!!

Please remember to visit each other and offer encouragement and tips that work for you...and of course, don't forget to sign the linky and leave a comment! Have a wonderful, healthy week!

...for all of you who haven't been participating....it's never too late to start! Why not post some goals and join us next week? We can always better ourselves in some way,....why not do it with some girlfriends who can cheer you on along the way??

29 pounds!! Wow! That's awesome!!! I will be so proud when I can announce that I've lost 10, 20, and 30 pounds! You are such an inspiration!!!
Thanks for the challenge, and keep up the GREAT work!!!
One way I make my treadmill more tollerable is to read while I'm walking. I read my Bible or another good book.
Blessings to you-Andie

Your weight loss is amazing- I know you're proud of yourself and you should be! I've lost weight and quit smoking and loseing the weight (and maintaining) was much harder! Maybe this heat will die down (not likely!) and then you can get out more. Hope you have a good weekend and good luck with next weeks goals.

Hi Deedra! I just found you through someone...I've been surfing all evening and now I can't remember! Lisa at The Preacher's Wife, I think. Anyway, I'm in for Fit4Life Fridays! Can you send me the code for the button so I can post it on my blog? I'm going now to my own blog to post my goals and get going even though it's not Friday! :-) Thanks!

Rita, I'm not really following any one "plan". I'm trying to eat very few simple carbs (bread. potatoes, etc.), and as little sugar as possible. Other than that, I'm really enjoying the fruits of my grandmother and Aunt Wanda's labor by eating lots of fresh veggies. I grill most everything. Grilled squash, is my favorite! And of course I eat tomatoes ALOT!.....when winter comes, and all the fresh stuff is gone, I may be in trouble!

Thanks. I am assuming little fat as well. Carbs are my problem.
