What the heck is a "meme"?

....I kept seeing this meme business everywhere. It was on lots of blogs and I didn't have a clue what it meant.(I evidently missed that day in English class) Anyway, you must keep in mind that I currently live in a world where everyone speaks double. Ma Ma, Da Da, Bye Bye, Bite Bite....you get the idea. And to be perfectly honest, this has always driven me quite nuts (not that I have far to go!) So when I kept seeing "meme" on all these blogs I thought, good grief, what the heck does THAT mean? Did somebody make up a bloggy internet name for something?...lol..nope! I looked in the dictionary (which at my house means dictionary.com) and it's really a word! And get this! It means "replicator" or a repeated action. So when I say Ma Ma that's a meme..HA!

Anyway, the meme I keep seeing is where you google your name then "needs" and I have come across some pretty funny ones so far. So naturally, I had to do it myself. (Jacob & Elijah, don't do this unless your Mom or Dad is watching) who knows what might come up!! Here's what mine said:

"Deedra(that's me) Needs"

Deedra needs to get on the ball and check with area businesses-this is probably true, I went to the pharmacy the other day and the girl said. We were just looking at your baby's picture on the internet. I was like, YOU WHAT??? I forgot about my blog for a minute..lol...I almost freaked out!

Deedra needs to clean up.-This would be the understatement of the century. You should see my closet!

Deedra needs a 12-step program!!!! She's so cute!!!-Do they have a 12 step program for being cute?

Deedra needs one more stop before we REALLY hit the road.Yes, No Roadtrip is complete without the hyper-active mind of Deedra. ...
-She sure does! I need a Mountain Dew and a bathroom break. Hey, where we goin? Hey who you callin hyperactive?

If you try it, let me know! I'd love to hear your meme results.

Also, my pastor's wife, The Preachers Wife, and real-life friend, has a really fun personality test over on her blog today. Make sure you go over and test your personality! It's pretty accurate!(or at least mine was!)

I'm not home right now, but I did this and was giggling at some of the things it came up with...I'll post them later..."Dianne needs to shed the 60's Liz Taylor image" was one of them though, or something like that anyway. HELLO...no one is FURTHER from the 60's Liz Taylor image than me! How funny!

When I first started blogging, I remember thinking the same thing too, "what the heck are they talking about?" then I clicked a Blogging 101 from Boomama's site and it was quite informative!

I'm going to have to try that out! Your's are HILARIOUS!

That is HILARIOUS! I had not heard of doing that. It doesn't help that I have most of mine based on Jessica Alba, Biel and Simpson! But, they are good for a laugh. And yours were great.

That sounds like fun... I wonder how many they'll be, since I have a semi unusual name. Great idea!

I'm like you, though...I had no idea what it meant either. There are still lots of things I wonder how people do on their blogs. I'm just glad to be able to do what I can for now.

Oh, you know Lisa IRL...I am so jealous...She so rocks!!!!

BTW, I think that is a cute meme...I think I had tried it at some point, but not with such results, so I didn't post it.

Blessings to your Sunday afternoon and always.
