I have another prayer request for another precious baby.....mine! Yesterday Carter started the day off fine, then all of the sudden something hit him like a truck. No runny nose, no congestion, no nausea...nothing! He went from being fine to barely able to hold his head up. His temperature has been 104+ multiple times.
We were sitting at Dr Jeanie's office this morning when they opened at 8am and they rushed him in drew some blood and sent us for a chest xray after finding that his white blood cell count was real high. When we got back to the office they started an IV and gave him antibiotics and then a shot and told us to come back tomorrow for another xray and the results of the blood cultures.
Since leaving the doctors office his fever has stayed at 103-104 degrees even while alternating Tylenol & Motrin. He has been hallucinating on and off. Right now he is sleeping, but if he does that one more time we are going to the ER.
Please say a prayer for him. The nurses were astonished that he is almost 2 and a half and today is the FIRST time he has ever taken antibiotics. We have been so blessed that he doesn't really ever get sick. Now he doesn't know what is happening to him and he is really scared.
So are we.

I saw your post on facebook and prayed before I even came to read what was going on. Please let us know what you find out. I will continue to pray for him...and the rest of you. Know that I care!
I am praying, girl!! Praying that the "peace that passes understanding will guard your hearts and minds"...praying for sweet little Carter's body to fight off whatever infection may be looming. Praying for sunshine...down on the farm!

Oh no, He will definitly be in our prayers! Everything that you told about in your blog is exactly what happened with maddie two weeks ago! Her fever was 106 all week and I usually panic at 102!! We went to the hospital every single day for 5 days straight and was given i think 5 shots of anitibiotics and they really never gave me a good explanation for why her white count was 45,000 other than pneumonia in her left lung and some type of bacterial infection! So, that said... I know exactly how scared you are right now and helpless you feel all at the same time! You all are in my thoughts! :) Love ya!

Hey girl. Just checking back in to see if there are any updates. Hope things are much better....and I'm still remembering y'all.
I was setting with Wendy at the game today and she was updating me on Carter, and the rash thing.... so many little ones sick. Praying for him to get well soon and that Lilah doesn't get it....oh...and praying for you too!
Poor Baby, please let us know how he faring very soon- in the meantime, I'll say a prayer for him tonight!!!
