I interupt this desperately needed blog break to bring you the following news update:
It's a Girl!!!
...or at least the doctor says he is almost positive it is, (right down to a health class worthy description of what he was seeing...TMI, doc!) Anyway, we are still in shock, (escpecially Kyle). Because for those of you who know my husband's family, you know they almost never have girls.....there is one in Kyle's family. Our niece, Rachel age 7, who has been praying very hard for her little cousin-to-be (she remembers that she has 2 baby cousins in heaven) just yesterday told me she sure did hope it was a girl. It looks like her prayers paid off!
As for a name, I thought we had one until tonight when I reminded my husband that he said just a few weeks ago that he liked it, he now denies ever participating in that conversation......I'm thinkin he thought it would be a boy and he just finally agreed to one to shut me up!
One thing though, the doctor wants me off my feet (aka bedrest) for a few days, preferably a week. I'm having some pretty bad cramping which he thinks is due to overexertion. He asked if I'd need an excuse for work...........ummmmm, I don't know, you think that will fly with Kyle?
Please excuse Deedra from her duties for the next week, ............I'm thinking not! Say a prayer,...it might get ugly!

Oh girl!! Its a girl!!! That is so good. I love having a boy and a girl. I know you are very excited. Just take it easy and get plenty of rest, it will be over before you know it. Enjoy the rest while you can get it. God Bless!
Rachel was so excited. I know she would have loved another boy just as much as she loves Carter, but I think she needs to feel like there is a little more "girl power" in the family. We are all excited. Hope these problems you are having resolve soon.
As for Rachel praying for you and the baby, that is still a big priority for her. That is one of the biggest thrills for me, to see her so concerned for others.
When yall settle on a name, please do tell.

how do ya'll do that? you know, have one baby of one sex and then one of the other, immediately. without having three of one first until you finally get one of the other.

How exciting, a little girl. What wonderful news.
YIPPEE :) A GIRL :) Now, take it easy as best you can and start checking out those baby name books ;) Is there anyone who could come and help you with your little guy while you are on bedrest? The good part is Carter is little, you can have him climb up in bed with you and read stories, or play with cars up there! OR lay on the couch while he plays- you'll do just fine and we'll keep praying! :)
As mom to three little princesses -- I say CONGRATULATIONS! Girls are fun -- but can I just say dramatic also.....
Maybe your's won't be but my three are BIG TIME drama queens!

Oh, such wonderful news! What joy and happiness you must be feeling! It was always an awesome feeling just to know that God was creating a new person for the world to enjoy...and He had chosen me to be his mother! What a responsibility! What a blessing!
